THE GLORY OF THE LORD MOVEMENT

I. Origins of the Vision (1980s)

From the early 1980s, the Lord began to reveal to Papa Prophet Michael that the Glory of the LORD would be manifested as a definite event before the second coming of Jesus Christ.

• The Lord showed him that this coming would be as unique as:

o The first coming of Jesus (born of the Virgin Mary)

o The outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost

• This manifestation would happen at the climax of preparing the way of the Lord, as prophesied in Isaiah 40:5:

“Then the Glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all humanity will see it at once; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

The First Vision (Pentecost Sunday, June 10, 1984)

While praying, Papa Michael saw:

• A map of the world with smoke rising like incense from every nation – the prayers of the saints calling for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

• A small cloud rising from the ocean, like Elijah’s vision (1 Kings 18:44). The Lord told him this was the cloud that would bring the final rain of the Holy Spirit, located in the South Pacific.

The Second Vision (1986 – The Deep-Sea Canoe Vision)

• He saw a crystal-clear flood filling a valley, forming a lake, then turning into a cloud that spread across the Pacific.

• This cloud became three streams of currents that reached the U.S. and turned into a massive tidal wave, circling the globe until it formed a perfect ring with Jerusalem at the centre.

• From Jerusalem, the wave rose like a pillar of water and spread out as a cloud covering the entire earth.

• The word of the Lord declared:

“And the Glory of the LORD shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea!”

This marked the beginning of what later became a Prayer Movement starting in the Solomon Islands and spreading across the Pacific.
